Editar en los márgenes: la edición independiente en el siglo XXI

Hemos podido asistir a la mesa redonda que os comentábamos en una entrada anterior.
El diálogo moderado por Fernando Menéndez con la definición que la Real Academia da de margen como hilo conductor fue muy enriquecedor. Se agradece que en tiempos de claudicaciones alguien presente la serena constancia del buen hacer como apuesta personal y profesional.


Del mundo editorial se habló y se apuntó como diferencia inspiradora frente a los grandes grupos la de tratar la edición de cada libro con singularidad. El editor independiente entendido como recomendador de un autor del que él como primer lector disfrutó y que a través de su sello comparte con el público lector.
Además de estas ideas se habló de la iniciativa que agrupa a varias de estas editoriales independientes: "contexto" y que obtuvo el premio a la mejor labor editorial y cultural en 2008. We attended the round table we talked about at a previous post.

The dialogue moderated by Fernando Menéndez, which had as its conducting thread the definition given by the Spanish Royal Academy of Language for "margen", was very enriching. In times of surrender, it is always welcome that someone presents the serene evidence of his/her serious work as a professional and personal option.

The publishing world was dealt with. It was pointed out as an inspiring difference,in opposition to the big groups, how they manage the publishing of each book individually.

The independent publisher, as a "recommender" of a writer whom he/she, as a first reader, enjoyed and whom he/she will share with the reading public through his/her imprint.

Besides these ideas, another subject dealt with was the initiative grouping several of these ndependent publishing houses: "contexto", which was awarded the prize to the best publishing and cultural work in 2008.
