San Serriffe

Estos días estamos dando un curso de Illustrator e InDesign a una conocida agencia de publicidad asturiana
Al hilo de una pregunta sobre cómo hacer pdf's interactivos desde InDesign se nos ocurrió un ejercicio cuyas imágenes os mostramos aquí.
El ejercicio es un tributo a una curiosa historia que comenzó en los setenta.
El día de los inocentes inglés el periódico The Guardian, (sí ese mismo que hace unos días volvía a bromear con el cierre de sus rotativas y la novedosa edición de su periódico a través de twitter...), publica un reportaje extra sobre una república que celebra su décimo aniversario de independencia, dicha república es la de San Serriffe, cuya capital es Bodoni, a la que acompañan otros emplazamientos igualmente entrañables para cualquier amante de la tipografía

These days we are teaching a course about Illustrator and InDesign for a well-known Asturian publicity agency.
After a question about how to make interactive pdf files from InDesign we thought of an exercice whose pictures we show you here. That exercice is a tribute to a curious story which started in the 70s.
On 1st April the journal The Guardian (yes, the same one which some days ago made a new joke about the newspaper's closing down and its innovative edition through twitter...) publishes an extra article about a republic which celebrates its tenth independence anniversary. That republic is San Serrife, whose capital is Bodoni and which has other places equally likable for typography lovers.
