Nexus

Mientras veíamos el documental "Taking Liberties" nos llamó la atención la calidad del trabajo infográfico. En los títulos de crédito descubrimos que detrás está la empresa londinense Nexus, que ya nos llamó la atención con su trabajo en el corto "Lies" de Jonas Odell (Mejor corto en Sundance 2009), el cual vimos dentro del Future Shorts de Marzo.

As we were seeing the documentary "Taking Liberties" we noticed the quality of the infographic work. We discovered in the credit titles that behind it is the London-based company Nexus, whose work had already caught our attention in the short "Lies", by Jonas Odell (Best short in Sundance 2009), when we saw it within the Future Shorts in March.

Nexus se centra en la animación, tanto 2D, como 3D, Flash, en vivo o con títeres, produciendo desde 1997 productos para televisión, publicidad, cine o videoclips musicales. En la edición de 2009 estuvieron nominados al Oscar al Mejor Corto de Animación por la negra historia "This way up", en la que dos sepultureros viven un montón de vicisitudes con un ataúd (y de ahí el título).

Nexus focuses in animation, 2D, 3D, Flash, live or with puppets. They have been producing for the television, publicity, cinema or musical videoclips industries since 1997. They were nominated to the Award for Best Animated Short Film in the Oscars 2009 edition for the black story "This way up", in which two gravediggers live a lot of vicissitudes with a coffin (hence the title).

Dirigido por Alan Smith y Adam Foulkes, los cuales son responsables de campañas ya famosas como la de Motorola, Coca-Cola u Honda, es un claro ejemplo de trabajos ajenos que hay que seguir de cerca. En su web, con un diseño flash muy interesante, podemos ver fragmentos de sus últimas obras.

It was directed by Alan Smith and Adam Foulkes, who are responsible for famous campaigns such as those of Motorola, Coca-Cola and Honda. It is a clear example of other people's work which we must track. In their web site, with a very interesting flash design, we can see some extracts for their last jobs.
